These terms govern your use of this website. Hire itself is governed by our terms of hire, which apply to every booking.
This site is operated by Star Moments Limited, trading as Event Effects, a company registered in England and Wales. Our company number and registered office are set out at the foot of this page. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use it.
You may use the site for your own business or personal purposes and to make a genuine enquiry. You must not misuse it — that includes introducing malicious code, attempting to gain unauthorised access, scraping content in bulk, or submitting false enquiries. We may withdraw or suspend access without notice where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
Submitting an enquiry does not reserve a date or create a contract. Information on this site, including package contents, specifications and "from" prices, is an invitation to enquire and not a binding offer. A booking arises only when a written quotation has been accepted and the deposit received, on our terms of hire.
We take care to keep the site accurate and up to date, but it is provided for general information only. Heights, coverage figures and durations depend on the venue, the ceiling, the equipment specified and the conditions on the day, and should be treated as indicative until confirmed in your quotation. We may change content at any time without notice.
All text, photography, video, design and marks on this site belong to us or are used under licence. You may view, download and print pages for the purpose of considering or arranging a booking. Any other copying, republication or commercial use — including the use of our imagery in your own marketing — requires our written permission.
Where we link to a venue, supplier or social platform, we do so for convenience only. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on the site's general content, for interruption or unavailability of the site, and for indirect or consequential loss. Liability in connection with a booking is dealt with in our terms of hire.
Personal information submitted through this site is handled as described in our privacy policy. Cookies are described in our cookie policy.
We may revise these terms from time to time; the version published when you use the site is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
If something has gone wrong we would rather hear it from you first. Write to us at the address below and we will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and give a full response within twenty-eight days.
